One day there was a monkey. He wanted to cross a river. There he saw a crocodile so he asked the crocodile to take him across the other side of the river. The crocodile agreed and told the monkey to jump on his back.
Then the crocodile swam down the river with the monkey on his top. Unluckily, the crocodile was very hungry, he stopped in the middle of the river and said to the monkey, “My father is very sick. He has to eat the heart of the monkey. So he will be healthy again.”
At the time, the monkey was in dangerous situation and he had to think hard. Then he had a good idea. He told the crocodile to swim back to the river bank. “What’s for?” asked the crocodile. “Because I don’t bring my heart,” said the monkey. “I left it under a tree, near some coconuts in the river bank.” The crocodile agreed and turned around. He swam back to the bank of the river.
As soon as they reached the river bank, the monkey jumped off the crocodile’s back. Then he climbed up to the top of a tree. “Where is your heart?” asked the crocodile. “You are foolish,” said the monkey to the crocodile. “Now I am free and I have my heart.”

The Yaks
A yak is a wild ox of Asia. It inhabits the cold, dry plateaus of Tibet, often more than 4.870 meters above the sea level.
Adult male yaks grow to an average height of two meters at the shoulders, and weigh about 1000 kg and the females weigh a third of that.
A yak is covered with long and shaggy hair. It has a dense undercoat of soft, close matted hair. Wild yaks can be brown or black, and both males and females have horns. Wild yaks secrete a special sticky substance in their sweat that helps keep their underhair matted. This substance is also used in Nepalese medicine.
The indigenous tribes of the Tibetan plateaus have domesticated the yaks for many years. They rely heavily on them for transportation and as pack animals because they are very strong and able to maneuvers along dangerous ice and snow-covered land.
The domesticated yaks are also important to farmers as it is used to plough fields. Its meat and milk are widely consumed. The soft hair is used to make clothes. Saddles, whips, boots and other articles are made from the hide. The bushy tail is used as fly chaser at ceremonial processions in India.

Whales are the biggest animal on earth. Bigger than elephant, they may grow 95 feet long and weigh 150 tons. A baby blue whale just born, can be 23 feet and weigh 3 tons.
Although whales live in oceans and swim like fish, they are not fish. They are mammals, like cows and elephants. Unlike fish they bear young alive, not as eggs. Their babies live on their mother’s milk. They breathe through their lungs and hold their breath when they go under water. If they cannot come to the surface to breathe fresh air, they will drown. They are warm blooded. Fish, however, lay eggs, breathe oxygen in the water and are cold blooded.
Whales live in all oceans. In the winter, some of them go to the warm water to breed, and in the summer most of them go to cold water to feed.
There are two kinds of whales, whales with teeth (toothed whales) and the whale without teeth (baleen whales). The toothed whales eat fish and squid which they can catch with their teeth although they swallow their food without chewing it.
The baleen whales eat planktons (small sea animals and plants). When they find planktons, they open their mouths and swim into the planktons. When they close their mouths they squeeze out the water and swallow the planktons.
Whales have few enemies. Only human beings and the killer whales attack whales. And whales do not seem to fight among themselves. They usually live from 20 to 30 years.

One day a farmer, who was well known in his village as a very mean man, said, ”I will give three meals and twenty-five pence to anyone who is willing to do a day’s work for me”. This offer was accepted by a hungry tramp, who was more interested in the meals than the money. He had been walking for three days without food.
“You can have your breakfast first”, said the farmer, “and then you can start work”. After the farmer had given him a very small breakfast, he said, “Now you can have your dinner. This will save us a lot of time.” The tramp agreed, and ate a poor dinner. When he had finished, the farmer said, “What would you say to have supper also while you are about it?”
“I will try”, replied the tramp, “to enjoy another meal”. Then he had his supper, which again was not a very filling meal. When it was over, the farmer looked very pleased and said, “Now you can do a long day’s work”.
“No, thank you”, was the tramp reply, as he rose to leave, “I never work after supper”

Once upon a time there lived as neighbors, a bear and a rabbit. The rabbit was a good shot, and the bear, being very clumsy, could not use the arrow to good advantage.
The bear would call over the rabbit and asked the rabbit to take his bow and arrows and came with the bear to the other side of the hill.
The rabbit, fearing to arouse the bear’s anger by refusing, consented and went with the bear and shot enough buffalo to satisfy the hungry family, indeed he shot and killed so many that there was lots of meat left after the bear and his family had loaded themselves, and packed all they could carry home.
The bear was very gluttonous and did not want the rabbit to get any of the meat, so the poor rabbit could not even taste the blood from butchering, as the bear throw earth on the blood and dry it up. Poor rabbit would have to go home hungry after his hard day’s work.
The bear was the father of five children. The youngest child was very kind to the rabbit. The mother bear knowing that the youngest child was very eater, always give him extra-large piece of meat, but the youngest child didn’t eat. He would take it outside with him and pretend to play ball with it, kicking it with toward the rabbit’s house, and when he got close to the door he would give the meat with such great kick, that it would fly into the rabbit’s house and in this way the poor rabbit got his unknown to the papa bear.

CHILDREN SHOULD BE EDUCATED AT HOME
My name is Jeff Lee. In my opinion, children should be educated at home. These are my reasons:
1.    The government will save a lot of money. It will not need to pay electricity and water bills or pay for more books and teaching materials. The money saved can be used to pay for more important things such as medical research, hospital upgrading and food for the homeless.
2.    Technology has improved so much that children can learn just as well at home, using computers. Parents could be trained to show children how to use the internet for learning.
3.    There will be fewer distractions at home. When children are placed in a noisy classroom, they cannot learn much. On the other hand, on a peace and quiet of their own home they can learn a lot more.
4.    There will be no bullying. Some children are so upset by bullying in school that they experience learning difficulties. They cannot concentrate as they are worried about what the bullies will do to them. However, this will not be a problem in the child’s own home.
5.    Children will be safer when they do not have to travel to school. Both parents and children will no longer have fears of the traffic accident on the way to school or on the way home. Parents will not have to worry about their children talking to strangers.
For the benefit of all children, I will urge parents and the government to seriously consider allowing the children to be educated at home.

We Should Change the Payment System
Nowadays, the system of payment gradually changes. Most people use debit cards instead of cash to make payment. They think it is more effective, efficient, easier, and simpler. However, there are still arguments about the use of debit cards as a method of payment.
Well, if you use the card, you will say that the card is so practical. You don't need to count how much you should pay. When paying in cash, people are afraid of making mistakes in counting the banknote for both the payment and the change. With debit card's the mistakes is made smaller.
Moreover, you should know that the debit cards are safer than money. Suppose you bring a lot of money when travelling. If it is lost or stolen, you will be left with nothing in your hands. However, if you bring a debit card. you can just phone the bank which issues the card to block it.
On the other hand, people who disagree on the use of debit card will say that its use is so limited. When you buy something in a traditional market, or a vendor, for example, can you pay using a credit card? Of course not.
Another thing is that, if you want to use the card, you should make a purchase at minimum amount. If you make less than the minimum transaction, you can not make use of the card.
For those reasons we think that credit cards are not fully effective as a means of payment. We should trace the incoming and ongoing money in our account. Besides, we have to control our habit of buying first, paying later habit. Otherwise, without being realized we are charged a lot. You don't have to use credit cards if not necessary.

Once upon a time, there was a large mountainside, where an eagle's nest rested. The eagle's nest contained four large eagle eggs.
One day an earthquake rocked the mountain causing one of the eggs to roll down the mountain, to a chicken farm, located in the valley below. The chickens knew that they must protect and care for the eagle's egg, so an old hen volunteered to nurture and raise the large egg.
One day, the egg hatched and a beautiful eagle was born. Sadly, however, the eagle was raised to be a chicken. Soon, the eagle believed he was nothing more than a chicken. The eagle loved his home and family, but his spirit cried out for more. While playing a game on the farm one day, the eagle looked to the skies above and noticed a group of mighty eagles flying in the skies. "Oh," the eagle cried, "I wish I could fly like those birds." The chickens roared with laughter, "You cannot fly with those birds. You are a chicken and chickens do not fly."
The eagle continued staring at his real family up above, dreaming that he could be with them. Each time the eagle would let his dreams be known, the chickens told him that it couldn't be done. That is what the eagle learned to believe. The eagle, after time, stopped dreaming and continued to live his life like a chicken. Finally, after a long life as a chicken, the eagle passed away
